Our Story
We would rather describe how this place works while we cannot hire than post an aspirational advertisement we are not in a position to honour.
Open roles
Pranoraa is small and pre-revenue. Nothing has been manufactured and nothing has been sold, which means every role we add has to be paid for out of capital rather than out of trading. We open a role when there is a specific piece of work that will not otherwise get done well, and not before.
A careers page listing roles a company cannot fund is a common piece of theatre, and it wastes the time of exactly the people who took it seriously. When we can hire, the vacancy will be published here with its scope, its salary range and the name of the person who will decide.
Current status
No vacancies are open, and no recruitment process is running. Nobody is authorised to collect a fee, a deposit or a document from you on our behalf.
If you receive a message claiming to recruit for Pranoraa, please tell us so we can look into it.
How the work is done

Arguments are made in prose that someone outside the conversation could follow.

Whatever we publish carries its own cautions, its own thin evidence and its own unknowns.

Every piece of writing is read against its sources by someone who did not write it.

There will be moments where the honest version costs a sale, and they are discussed rather than absorbed.

We are later to launch than we would like because a formulation we cannot fully explain is not one we will sell.
What we look for
Specific qualifications matter for specific roles, and we will say which when a role exists. Across all of them, the same four dispositions decide whether somebody is going to enjoy working this way or find it exhausting.
Stated plainly
Every one of these is normal for a company at this stage. Presenting them as already solved is also normal, and it is the part we are declining to copy.
If any of the four is the thing you need settled before a conversation is worth having, that is a reasonable position and this is the page that tells you so before you spend an afternoon on an application.
Writing to us anyway
If the way this company works sounds like the way you would like to work, write to us through the contact page and mark your message for the attention of careers. We keep a short list of people we would approach first, and we have hired nobody from it yet because we have hired nobody at all.
Please be specific: the work you would want to own here, and one piece of writing or formulation work you are willing to be judged on. A general expression of interest is difficult for us to do anything useful with.
