Our commitment
This website is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility was part of the build rather than an audit performed afterwards, which is the difference between a site that works and a site that passes.
What that means in practice
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator that is never removed.
- The site respects the reduced-motion setting: momentum scrolling does not load at all, and content appears without travel.
- Colour contrast meets AA in both light and dark themes, and colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Headings follow a correct outline, landmarks are labelled, and a skip link is the first focusable element on every page.
- Form errors are associated with their fields and announced, rather than only shown in colour.
Known limitations
We would rather list these than claim they do not exist.
- The site has not yet been tested with users of assistive technology. Automated and manual testing is not the same as testing with people, and we intend to close that gap.
- No formal third-party accessibility audit has been carried out.
- Colour contrast has been verified by calculating the ratio of every text token against every surface it is used on. That is a rigorous check, but it is a computed one rather than an audited sweep of every rendered page.
- Images across the site are currently rendered as designed material treatments pending commissioned photography. Each carries a description of the subject it stands in for.
