In short
We collect very little. This website does not require an account, does not process payments, and sets no advertising cookies.
If you subscribe to our Journal we store your email address and the date you consented. If you contact us we store what you sent so that we can reply. That is the whole of it.
What we collect
We collect information in three circumstances, all of which you initiate.
- Newsletter subscription — your email address, the date and time of consent, and which page you subscribed from.
- Enquiries — your name, email address, and the content of your message. Partner enquiries additionally include business details you choose to provide.
- Analytics — if, and only if, you consent to it. Analytics is off by default and nothing loads until you opt in.
Why we are allowed to hold it
For the newsletter, our basis is your consent, recorded at the moment you gave it. You may withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any letter, and withdrawal takes effect immediately.
For enquiries, our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a message you sent us.
How long we keep it
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we retain only the record of consent and withdrawal, which we need in order to demonstrate that we handled your data lawfully.
Enquiry correspondence is kept for twenty-four months from the last message in the thread, then deleted.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within thirty days.

Children
This website is not directed at children, and our products are not intended for anyone under eighteen. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we will update the version number and effective date above, and record what changed. Material changes will be notified to newsletter subscribers before they take effect.
Questions about this policy can be sent to us using the details on our contact page. We respond to policy queries within five working days. A complaint follows a separate route, set out in the consumer grievance policy.
